About me

A recorder teacher with almost 40 years of experience teaching children and adults of all levels, affiliated with the Nieuwe Vaart Arts Center (Breukelen, Maarssen, Vleuten / De Meern).

I studied recorder at the Utrecht Conservatory with Leo Meilink and Reine-Marie Verhagen and panflute with Louis Lasance, Jan Kuyt and Damian Luca.

20 years ago I switched to teaching according to the Suzuki method. I followed my Suzuki training with Kathy White in the United States and Nancy Daly in England. In 2019 I was appointed Suzuki Teacher Trainer for recorder by the European Suzuki Association, the second in Europe.

I now only teach Suzuki recorder to children from 3 to 8 years old and provide teacher training to recorder teachers of all ages who want to become proficient in the Suzuki method.
